Consent
We will only rely on consent where it is genuinely appropriate and the individual has a real choice.
We do not generally rely on employee consent as the legal basis for routine workforce administration or necessary operational processing.
Consent may, for example, be appropriate for certain optional website technologies or optional activities where the law requires or permits it.

Job records, reports and certificates may need to be retained after a job has been completed because they form part of our professional and compliance records.
Engineer account access will normally be disabled when an individual no longer requires access to LNE systems.
Disabling an Engineer App account does not necessarily mean that all historic job records completed by that engineer will be deleted.
We may need to retain those records for legitimate business, contractual, safety, certification or legal purposes.
Where information is no longer required, we aim to securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it.
18. Engineer Accounts and Account Closure
Engineer App accounts are administered by LNE Solutions.
The app does not provide public users with the ability to create personal consumer accounts.
Where an engineer leaves the business or no longer requires access:

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we aim to use measures appropriate to the nature and risk of the information processed.

Operational tools may automatically:
- calculate information;
- sort jobs;
- generate notifications;
- display schedules; or
- process job data.
This does not necessarily constitute solely automated decision-making with a legal or similarly significant effect.

However, special category information could occasionally arise in employment, health and safety or incident-related circumstances.
If we process special category information, we will only do so where there is an appropriate lawful basis and an additional condition under applicable data protection law.
Engineers should not record unnecessary medical, health or other sensitive personal information about customers or occupants within job notes.
28. Children
The LNE Solutions Engineer App is not intended for use by children.
We do not knowingly provide Engineer App accounts to children.
A job may occasionally concern a Property occupied by children, but engineers should not collect children's personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the relevant service, safety requirement or legal purpose.
